Gorgeous vintage bride Sophie wears one of my 1950s–style wedding dresses...

Dear Reader,
Remember gorgeous vintage bride Sophie, utterly fabulous in one of my 1950s–style wedding dresses for her wedding to Jeremy…?
Well, I'm enjoying Sophie's pictures all over again – since I've found a great feature about their wedding on one of my favourite wedding blogs. I only gave you a glimpse of Sophie's vintage–inspired style, with her silver Jimmy Choo 'Luna' peep toe pumps, chic birdcage veil and bright Spring flowers...

But if you like what you've seen so far, you can find much more on cool wedding blog RockMyWedding.
Don't miss stylish groom Jeremy, too – in his blue Reiss suit, Thomas Pink dress shirt and Alexander McQueen tie and cufflinks...

Check out the feature on RockMyWedding to see much more of their day – from the London Bus Tour to the 'Molly Bakes' cake-pops!
For a glimpse of more real vintage–inspired brides, visit my website. And if you love Sophie's 1950s style dress, you can find more like it here and in my new Etsy store.

It's always nice to take a moment's breath, to look back and admire some of the beautiful women who've worn my vintage–inspired wedding dresses!

Josie in 1950s-style wedding dress, our Real Vintage Bride of the Week.

Dear Reader,
Our Vintage Bride of the Week is Josie, so sweetly pretty in a 1950s inspired wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection...

Josie chose the Chantilly dress... with one or two extra special touches. While Chantilly is based on an original 1950s design with a swishy prom-style skirt, Josie has a lovely understated style and was looking for a gentler effect. So we gave her dress a softer, slimmer skirt – for a more romantic flowing look.

The second unique touch is this beautiful beaded belt. It was created – by my super-talented seamstress Grace – from the original Edwardian wedding dress worn by Josie's Great Grandmother!

Together with the elegant dress, the delicate and subtle wildflowers (in such lovely colours), and Josie's pretty braided hair with flower crown, the overall effect is quite ethereal – and so beautiful.
How nice to see one of my dresses transformed into a new look!

Vintage Wedding Dress Trends 2015 - Number 5

Dear Reader,
Another lovely style that's swinging right back into fashion this year…

5. 1950s-style! Full frothy skirts, net and lace.

These cute and frothy prom-style dresses have always been popular. But over the last few years they've slipped a little, as fashion took a more sleek and pared-down direction.

Vintage Wedding Dress of the Week: 1950s-style Chantilly.

Dear Reader,
Today I'd like to show you 1950s-style Chantilly, from my Heavenly Collection of vintage-inspired wedding dresses.

Chantilly is based on a classic 1950s silhouette, with its slim-fitting lace bodice and beautifully swishy skirt - elegant, feminine and fun to wear at the same time!

What really sets Chantilly apart is the gorgeous quality fabrics that give it such great fit and movement. The skirt is made in a specially-sourced Italian silk organza, and the bodice is made from the finest French Chantilly lace (shown here with a mocha lining for a pretty vintage colour effect).

I've shown it here in tea length. But it looks equally stunning in ballerina length or for a really dramatic look in full length.

And just to round off this post, here's real vintage bride Sophie looking fabulous in Chantilly on her big day!

Real Bride Sophie shines in a 1950s-style wedding dress, 'CHANTILLY'

Dear Reader,

Remember I promised to share more pictures of Heavenly bride Sophie, and her wedding to Jeremy...?
For her city wedding in Ealing, Sophie looked fabulous in 'Chantilly' - a 1950s inspired lace wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection. She teamed the dress so prettily with silver Jimmy Choo 'Luna' peep toe pumps, a sweet veil and gorgeous bright Spring flowers.
Husband-to-be Jeremy looked dashing too, in a blue Reiss suit, Thomas Pink dress shirt and Alexander McQueen tie and cufflinks...
And their whole happy day was filled with wonderful personal details, from the 'Molly Bakes' cake-pops to the London Bus tour!
"Many of our guests travelled to London for our wedding from all over the world, so we hired a routemaster to take them on a tour of London before arriving at our reception at The Amadeus in Maida Vale."

Thanks so much to Sophie for sharing for her super-stylish day with us (and for her kind words!) If you've enjoyed this post, check out the nice feature in Brides Magazine, here.
"I just wanted to share some pics from Saturday - I felt wonderful in my dress and received so many compliments, so thank you for all your help and support in making my dream dress!"
See you all later this week, for another inspiring Real Vintage Bride!
