Perfectly boho! Original 1970s lace wedding dress.

And completely new for the fair, I'm delighted to be launching an affordable line of the most beautiful, ethically–produced lace wedding dresses. I've spent SO many hours researching, refining and talking to new suppliers to make this line possible – at amazing value (from just £950 including a pretty underslip) with no compromise on quality or principles.
Violette, shown here in satin, is now available in lace from just £950
The dresses are all ethically made here in London, by hand, and feature the most beautiful silks and laces. Even the buttons are hand–covered in real silk... and their teeny–tiny delicate button loops too! One of the pretty tulle and lace wedding dresses for sale at my stand on 15 May.
I'll be showing affordable – and stunning – new versions of my most popular dresses: Angel, Butterfly and Violette. I'll have samples of these beautiful new wedding dresses with me on the day (as well as many beautiful vintage boho wedding dresses, of course).
Angel, one of my new romantic lace wedding dresses
Butterfly, one of my romantic and boho lace wedding dresses from £995
My new Violette is now available as a lace dress over a satin slip (it's shown here in satin only, as it's so new I don't have the photos yet. So you'll have to come and see if for yourself!) It's in the most beautiful delicate 'cobwebby' cotton lace for a supersoft feel and a lovely drape – and still priced from just £950.
Violette, shown here in satin, is now available all in lace from just £950
Violette is similar to Butterfly and Angel (both pictured below), both of which are always very popular. But with its higher back and more structure, Violette is exceptionally flattering to a curvier figure.
Violette (shown here in satin) is now available in lace from just £950
My new Butterfly is in a gorgeous cotton blend lace, with a geometric 'art deco' style pattern. It's available for £995, including a pretty underslip in a choice of three colours.
Butterfly lace wedding dress, so romantic, available from just £995
One of my other most popular lace dresses, Angel, will now be available in a very soft floral lace – very flowing and SO romantic – priced from £995 including a pretty underslip in choice of three colours.
Angel floaty lace wedding dress – now available from £995
The dresses can be bought online and will soon feature in my Etsy shop or you can find them at my studio in Brentford, West London. I'm proud to say they're all made as one–offs here in London, and the lace is also made in the UK. I really believe you can combine amazing beauty, quality and still use UK suppliers and manufacturers.

Gorgeous vintage bride Sophie wears one of my 1950s–style wedding dresses...

Dear Reader,
Remember gorgeous vintage bride Sophie, utterly fabulous in one of my 1950s–style wedding dresses for her wedding to Jeremy…?
Well, I'm enjoying Sophie's pictures all over again – since I've found a great feature about their wedding on one of my favourite wedding blogs. But if you like what you've seen so far, you can find much more on cool wedding blog RockMyWedding.
Don't miss stylish groom Jeremy, too – in his blue Reiss suit, Thomas Pink dress shirt and Alexander McQueen tie and cufflinks...

Check out the feature on RockMyWedding to see much more of their day – from the London Bus Tour to the 'Molly Bakes' cake-pops!

A 1930s style lace wedding dress, for Vintage Bride Amy.

Dear Reader,
A mini takeover from fabulous vintage bride Amy today. For her Autumn wedding, Amy wore 'Butterfly' – a romantic 1930s style lace wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection.
Full length veils are so pretty with 1930s style wedding dresses.

Amy's Butterfly dress is made in the prettiest beaded lace. The lace itself is a soft and delicate off–white. And the beads are matched perfectly. So the effect is the subtlest shimmer of texture – like sunlight on snow. This romantic and charming dress was just right for beautiful bride Amy, a real English Rose.
Amy wears Butterfly, a 1930s style wedding dress in sumptuous beaded lace.

Amy has some great words of advice to share on her day...
What went well…? The most important thing for us when we started planning our wedding was to plan a wedding day that was fun and laid back, and to make sure that everyone was fed and watered well. The day turned out exactly how we imagined with only a couple of tiny bumps along the way.
Amy, radiant in 1930s inspired lace wedding dress and veil.
What didn't go well…! We wished we'd done a more detailed plan of the day and communicated this with everyone involved, as at some points the day felt a little unorganised. However, this sort of added to the charm!
A gorgeous view from behind.
The best thing about my dress…? I loved wearing my beautiful dress – and so many people complimented me on how different it was.
1930s dresses are so romantic!
The best thing about the day…? We had such a lovely day, I just wish I could do it all over again! The best thing was being surrounded by all our favourite people, and seeing all our hard work over the past year pay off.
So stylish!
And our most important advice…? It's very hard but try not to get too hung up on the little details as you then start to lose track of why you're doing it in the first place. At the end of the day, your guests are only there to see you!
                    Amy x :)
Thanks so much for your tips, Amy – you look amazing!
And for any readers who love this dress, check out my Etsy store. I have some beautiful 1930s dresses available at the moment.

Do ALL brides love lace wedding dresses…?

Dear Reader,
Every bride loves lace. Well, at least that's how it seems
'Angel' lace wedding dress is always one of the most popular in my vintage style collection.
Lace makes a beautiful background for vintage accessories.
Sometimes girls visit my West London studio with a particular style of vintage wedding dresses in mind. Other times, they love the romance and charm of vintage, without any favourite era...
Exquisite original Nottingham lace makes my 1930s style Angel dress really special.
Or perhaps they've been drawn in after seeing their favourite model or movie star choose a vintage wedding dress. But just about always, when girls see the rails of beautiful vintage wedding dresses in my studio, it's the lace dresses they will first pick out.
What else has the romance of lace wedding dresses?
Whether it's frothy and pretty 1950s style lace wedding dresses, or a more slinky 30s style, vintage and lace seem to go hand in hand.
Elegant and delicate, yet still simple… Angel in 1930s lace.
And undoubtedly, Angel is one of the most popular of all. This delicate and elegant 1930s style wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection is made of the finest quality lace, still made in the traditional way – and to their original 1930s design – by one of England's oldest lace-making companies.
Soft and flattering, lace wedding dresses are beautiful on all skin types.
Angel is available in this beautiful lace, and in a range of other exquisite fabrics priced from £995. Why not contact me to find out more, or to come and admire it for yourself…?
Angel 1930s-inspired lace wedding dress – come and see it soon!
What do you think? Do you love lace too?

A 1940s-style vintage wedding dress for a cool Spring day.

Dear Reader,
Choosing a vintage wedding dress for an English spring wedding can be a challenge. Of course, it must be gorgeous and glamorous. But it also needs to cover enough skin for our goosebump-inducing climate!

Actually, I love winter and spring weddings. They're a great opportunity to wear elegant long sleeves and high necks that may simply be too hot in summer. And with this in mind, I've recently made some updates to the Florence dress from my Heavenly Collection of vintage-inspired wedding dresses
The original Florence vintage-style wedding dress, with puff sleeves

This lovely new Florence has long satin sleeves, set into beautifully detailed shoulders. And the glamour quota stays high with the addition of a subtly sexy keyhole back – just enough to reveal a glimpse of skin.

And with lace flutter sleeves – 1940s style wedding dress, Florence
I've also introduced a stunning new colour, Sea Pearl – that positively glows in the light of a cold day.

Marabou feather wrap, perfect for a winter or spring vintage-style wedding
Spring and winter weddings also offer a wonderful choice of vintage accessories. Feathers or fur? Winter blooms in icy hues, or freshest spring flowers? The options are so romantic.

Late winter blooms, eucalyptus, pale roses and frosted berries
Perfect over a vintage wedding dress, a feathered wrap or shrug
Swan feather wedding cape – perfect with a vintage wedding dress for spring.
Try a feather wrap like my own above – made from ostrich and marabou. Or this beautiful swan feather wedding cape from Not on the High Street. Or fur is fabulous – whether a real vintage piece or faux if you prefer...
A fur shrug can keep you cosy through a chilly spring wedding day

Glamorous vintage bride in faux fur, from a charming 1947 photo!
A cosy faux fur jacket or shrug can also work perfectly with a short-sleeved dress, such as Florence (below) with a lace flutter sleeve. I love the real vintage bride in the photo above – teaming her dress with that super-fabulous faux fur!

White fur stole – perfect to keep you warm at a chilly spring wedding.
If you like real fur, you can find wonderful vintage fur wraps and shrugs at Central Park Vintage. Another great place to seek out a fur or faux fur shrug is The Hammersmith Vintage Fair – I am a regular visitor for their great selection of accessories.
Glorious pale blooms for an early Spring wedding.
And each version of Florence works beautifully with the current vogue for natural accessories. From the beautiful blooms from Brides.com to these stunning nature-inspired headpieces by Abby at Cherished.

Nature-inspired hair accessories complement a vintage wedding dress
As pretty as real snowdrops! Delicate head-pieces for a vintage style wedding.
I am used to seeing beautiful hair accessories, but I've not seen anything quite like these by Abby at Cherished before - they are small works of art and could have been made to go with the Florence dress. (I can't wait to feature more of them very soon!)
Lovely 1940s-inspired Florence wedding dress, from my Heavenly Collection.
I hope my brides and my readers will love the elegant new member of the Florence family, as much as the original puff-sleeved and flutter-sleeved versions! If you'd like to make an appointment to see Florence in person, do contact me!

And I've hope you've enjoyed these ideas for vintage-inspired late winter and early spring weddings!
